Principal Backend Engineer, Infrastructure

We're looking for a highly skilled engineer to join our team and help us design, build, and operate large-scale, high-performance, cloud-native infrastructure systems.

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting Kubernetes clusters and driving automation for provisioning, scaling, and upgrades. They will also develop cost optimization strategies for cloud services and infrastructure utilization.

The successful candidate will build internal platform services (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, observability stacks) for use by engineering teams across the company. They will implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform or CDK for reproducible and auditable infrastructure changes.

  • 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering roles.
  • Expertise in cloud-native infrastructure—AWS, GCP, or Azure—with deep hands-on experience.
  • Strong background in Kubernetes architecture and operations (schedulers, K8s internals).
  • Experience building internal developer platforms, control planes, or service frameworks.
  • Fluent in modern scripting and programming languages—Go or Python.
  • Familiarity with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry) and CI/CD tools.
  • Experience with infra/security compliance in production-grade environments (e.g., PCI, SOC 2, ISO).
