Job Description

  • Develop and validate printed circuit board libraries in line with organizational standards.
  • Perform schematic capture to ensure design correctness.
  • Execute component placement considering electrical, DFA, and DFM constraints.
  • Develop power split plans and ensure robust design for power delivery.
  • Carry out PCB routing with controlled impedance and length-tuning as required.
  • Handle the complete post-Gerber process with fabrication and assembly readiness.
  • Define and calculate layer stack-ups for various board designs.
  • Work with high-density interconnect technologies, including blind/buried vias and high-speed peripherals.
  • Apply design-for-excellence guidelines during design and carry out validation reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with signal integrity/power integrity requirements through analysis and validation.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Hands-on experience with leading printed circuit board design tools.
  • Strong knowledge of constraint setting, routing, and post-layout checks.
  • Experience with signal integrity and power integrity validation methodologies.
  • Proven expertise in multi-layer printed circuit board stack-up design and materials selection.
  • Familiarity with high-density interconnect techniques, blind/buried vias, and high-speed interfaces.
  • Good understanding of design-for-manufacturing, design-for-assembly, and design-for-test considerations in printed circuit board design.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve design robustness and reliability.
  3. Develop and implement design procedures and checklists to ensure consistency.
  4. Design and implement test fixtures and instrumentation to validate design performance.
