Engineering Leader

As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day direction of the DDW engineering team. This includes directing, reviewing and approving engineering designs and changes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural production engineering and experience in managing multidiscipline teams in the offshore and marine industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership for the day to day direction of the engineering team
  • Direct, review, and approve engineering designs and changes
  • Understand the scope of work for new build (offshore construction) and rig new build/refurbishment
  • Define and manage the scope of work for engineering teams
  • Prepare technical specifications
  • Plan multidiscipline engineering activities
Requirements:
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in related engineering disciplines
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in offshore and marine industry
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in shipyard/offshore yard engineering management of multidiscipline teams
  • Minimum & mandatory 10 years exp in Structural Production Engineering

  • Responsible for assisting in interviewing, hiring and training employees as per department/project requirements
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence to meet departmental/project objectives
  • Provide on the job training to subordinates and succession plan within the department
