Product Visionary Role

About this role:

CAVA is a fast-growing Direct-to-Consumer athleisure and lifestyle brand that blends global aesthetics with Indian sensibilities. Founded on an ambitious growth path, we are expanding across e-commerce, retail, and omnichannel touchpoints.

This role will be pivotal in leading our design vision and buying strategy. The successful candidate will create collections that resonate with our community while balancing creativity, commercial viability, and speed to market.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop seasonal collections aligned with CAVA's brand identity and consumer needs.
  2. Translate global trends, consumer insights, and brand strategy into product lines.
  3. Innovate fabrics, silhouettes, and functionality for athleisure and lifestyle segments.
  4. Oversight on sampling, prototyping, and quality benchmarking.
  5. Define assortment strategies across categories, price points, and channels.
  6. Build supplier/vendor partnerships for fabrics, trims, and finished goods.
  7. Negotiate costs, MOQs, and timelines to optimize margins and speed.
  8. Maintain balanced inventory: fast movers, core basics, and newness.
  9. Collaborate closely with Marketing, Operations, and Finance to ensure design and buying plans meet growth and profitability targets.
  10. Drive calendar discipline—ensuring timely launches and refreshes.
  11. Analyze sales & performance data to refine designs and buying decisions.
  12. Mentor and build a high-performing team of designers and buyers.
Requirements:
  • ~10 years of experience in D2C fashion design, buying, or merchandising.
  • Strong eye for fashion trends, consumer behavior, and product innovation.
  • Proven ability to balance design aesthetics with commercial outcomes.
  • Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills.
  • Leadership experience in managing teams and cross-functional collaboration.
