Senior Merchandiser

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, managing the production process from material sourcing to quality assurance. They will work closely with the design team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality activewear products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Material Sourcing & Sample Coordination:
    • Collaborate with the design team to organize sample development, approvals, and fabric procurement.
  • In-House Manufacturing Oversight:
    • Communicate effectively with the in-house production team to monitor sample production, resolve technical or production issues, and ensure quality standards.
  • Product Costing and Efficiency Management:
    • Work on product costing and optimal selling price, monitoring fabric usage, trims, and production processes.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Conduct regular quality checks at key production stages, highlight defects, and implement corrective measures.
  • Production Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate production tracking documents and provide updates to relevant teams.
  • Cross-functional Coordination:
    • Work with design, sales, sourcing, and logistics teams to ensure alignment on delivery timelines and material availability.
  • Production Planning & Follow-up:
    • Manage and track the production schedule from development through bulk manufacturing.
  • Technical Documentation:
    • Ensure all tech packs, BOMs, and production specifications are complete and communicated to the production floor.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Engineering, Apparel Production, or a related field is essential.
  • At least 4 years of experience in apparel production merchandising, preferably in activewear or sportswear segments.
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, materials, and production processes.
  • Hands-on experience working in in-house manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel in particular) and production tracking systems.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of innovative practices and raw material vendors in activewear production is an advantage.
