Data Engineer Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Data Operations Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data systems.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with data-focused tools like Pandas, NumPy, and Snowflake. They should also be proficient in SQL and version control systems such as Git.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing data pipelines to ensure the smooth flow of information within our systems.
  • Maintaining high levels of data quality by implementing best practices in data processing, management, and lineage.
  • Managing code repositories and ensuring seamless deployments using Git.
  • Automating system processes to guarantee availability, performance, and scalability.
  • Providing support for regular and ad-hoc data querying and analysis.

To succeed in this position, you should have:

  • 3-5 years of experience working with Python and relevant data packages.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake and SQL.
  • 2-3 years of experience with DBT.
  • Proficiency in Linux environments and version control systems like Git.
  • Good knowledge of the financial domain is a plus.
