Chief Automotive Software Architect

We are seeking a seasoned software architect to lead the development of our automotive SoC systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining the software architecture of our product, ensuring it meets performance, power efficiency, and safety-critical requirements.

• You will define and architect the software framework for automotive SoC systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align software architecture with hardware design and automotive standards.
• Lead the design and development of software components and modules for automotive SoC platforms, implementing solutions in compliance with industry standards such as ISO 26262.
• Oversight of software performance for real-time constraints and resource efficiency, conducting performance analysis and proposing enhancements to meet automotive industry standards.
• Support Intellectual Property activities, generating Invention Disclosure Memos to facilitate patent applications, and contribute to design reviews across algorithm teams.
• Consider next generation algorithms and new business opportunities, developing algorithms with a view to implementing on embedded DSP platforms.
• Represent us at various Industry Working Groups and Conferences, supporting the design and implementation of in-company training sessions in your area of expertise.
• Develop and maintain relationships with university counterparts, striving to improve competencies in the field of automotive vision based ADAS, Computer vision, and C++.
• Identify inefficiencies and suggest/implement improvements within current processes used in algorithm development, perform state-of-the-art research into deep learning & Computer vision approaches and methodologies.
• Provide expertise to algorithm and embedded leads in the design of CV/DL functions, researching, developing, benchmarking, testing, and documenting state-of-the-art computer vision and image processing algorithms for autonomous driving applications.
• Perform research into new vision technology, ideas, and approaches, ensuring the software architecture meets safety and security standards relevant to automotive systems, collaborating with safety engineers to conduct risk assessments and develop safety-critical software components.

• Ensure the product's robustness, applying standards and engineering discipline solutions.
• Support Engineering Discipline Design Review, managing the link with other Engineering disciplines and calling for hierarchical support if needed.
• Capture and standardize know-how (Specifications, technical reports, processes, and guidelines).

• Supply inputs and requirements to the Engineering discipline for development, interface with customers for Engineering discipline architecture content, and contribute to refining functions into the right sub-systems.

• Distribute and split functions per Engineering discipline, translating system requirements into Engineering discipline requirements, and ensure inter-operability of all sub-systems.

Skills: Proficiency in C, C++, or rapid prototyping skills in Enterprise Architect for Modeling, experience in Doors. Good understanding of fundamental computer vision algorithms and approaches. Excellent English language communication skills, both written and verbal. High level of innovation and motivation. Excellent research experience. Experience with automotive software standards such as AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, and familiarity with communication protocols like CAN, Ethernet. Experience in QNX/Safertos , freeRTOS.
