Automotive Audio Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to drive the hardware architecture and component selection for the next generation automotive audio system.

About This Opportunity
  • This role requires a strong background in electrical and electronics engineering, with a focus on embedded systems and hardware architectural design.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience working on complex electronic projects, including PCB design, component selection, and system integration.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the HW architecture and component selection/decision for the next generation automotive audio system. This includes selecting and recommending next-generation semiconductor solutions, developing electronic components and systems that power car audio systems, and ensuring chosen components meet performance, reliability, and cost requirements.

Requirements:
  • B.E/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech in Electrical/Electronics, Telecommunication, or equivalent Engineering.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in automotive embedded electronics designs or hardware/system architectural role.
  • Knowledge of In-vehicle infotainment system, Audio system, Automotive vehicle connectivity systems, and ECU design, development, and testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in automotive area (OEM, TIER1, TIER2).
  • Understanding and knowledge of Board software/Bring up software, Audio DSP, and MCUs.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive HW architecture and component selection/decision for the next generation automotive audio system.
  • Select and recommend next-generation semiconductor solutions for automotive audio, circuit/PCB designing, and developing electronic components and systems that power car audio systems.
  • Work closely with vehicle Architecture/system Design, safety engineer, and Buyer/purchasing to ensure chosen components meet performance, reliability, and cost requirements.
  • Recommend and propose electronic audio components, including Audio amplifiers, Microphone interface/Audio ADC, Audio DSP, Audio power circuitry/PMIC, Speaker interface, Digital audio interfaces (A2B, Ethernet, etc).
  • Design ANC (Active noise cancellation) and RNC (Road noise cancellation) systems.
  • Familiarity with relevant automotive safety and quality standards, such as ISO 26262 and AEC-Q100.
  • Experience with acoustic measurement instruments, audio data acquisition, analysis systems, and Audio Precision.
  • Collaborate with silicon vendor partners to drive design features and technology road maps.
  • Support HW Engineering group during advanced design phases, system architecture definitions, and ECU development/qualifications.
