Job Description:


The Head of PMS Operations will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Portfolio Management System (PMS). This individual will be responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of investment transactions, portfolio updates, and reporting.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the strategic vision and goals for PMS operations, aligning with the overall business strategy.
  • PMS Management: Oversee system configuration, data management, and performance measurement, ensuring accurate and timely processing of investment transactions and portfolio updates.
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automation, and data integration to enhance operational efficiency, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Data Integrity and Quality: Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of data within the PMS, implementing controls to maintain data quality standards, establishing procedures for data validation, reconciliation, and exception resolution.
  • Performance Measurement and Reporting: Oversee the generation of performance reports, investment analysis, and portfolio insights for internal stakeholders and clients, collaborating with the reporting team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of performance metrics and investment-related information.
  • Risk Management and Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies related to portfolio management and data handling, implementing effective risk management controls within the PMS operations.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with PMS vendors and third-party service providers, ensuring effective service delivery and contract adherence, evaluating vendor performance and negotiating terms to optimize service quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Team Development: Recruit, train, mentor, and develop a high-performing PMS operations team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and collaboration within the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
  • Mandatory experience of at least 5+ years in portfolio management operations and overall 10 years in investment operations, or related fields
  • Strong knowledge of portfolio management systems and related technologies
  • Proven leadership experience, including managing teams and driving operational excellence
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • In-depth understanding of financial markets, investment instruments, and regulatory frameworks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • Familiarity with data management, automation, and process optimization tools and techniques
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CIPM, FRM) are a plus
