Project Estimator & Cost Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Estimation & Costing professional to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all estimation and costing activities, ensuring accurate project cost assessments, and developing cost-effective strategies.

This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of project management and financial principles.

  1. Key Responsibilities:
  2. Develop and prepare detailed cost estimates for the project, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
  3. Analyze blueprints and specifications to determine project requirements and potential cost-saving opportunities.
  4. Assist in establishing project budgets, ensuring comprehensive tracking of costs throughout the project lifecycle.
  5. Monitor and control project expenditures, ensuring alignment with budgetary guidelines.
  6. Prepare regular cost reports and assist in the preparation of financial statements related to the project.
  7. Maintain accurate records of estimations, budgets, and changes throughout the project.
  8. Identify potential risks impacting project costs and develop mitigation strategies to minimize financial exposure.
  9. Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations to inform cost estimation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Any degree with 10+ years of experience in estimation and costing.
  • Good project estimation and costing experience within the construction or engineering sector, with a proven record of managing large-scale projects.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with various stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of financial principles and project management methodologies.
  • Professional certification (e.g., AACE, RICS) is a plus.
  • Note: Candidate should have prior experience in handling logistics / 3 PL tenders.
