Job Title: Category Expert

This role is part of the Global Procurement department and focuses on championing best practices in Category Management.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in procurement, sustainability, compliance, and change management.

  • Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency, streamline operations, and reduce costs.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that procurement activities comply with legal, ethical, and corporate standards, identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement processes.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring reliability, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Incorporate sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) considerations into procurement decisions and practices.
  • Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and subcontractors, developing strong relationships with vendors, negotiating commercially compelling terms and rates.

Requirements:

  • A strategic commercial procurement professional with experience promoting the agenda and driving the procurement transformation program.
  • A deep understanding of key public sector frameworks, the private sector, and procurement policies.
  • An excellent communicator who can establish strong, lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
