Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process automation and a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Extraction: Extracting important data from P&IDs, wiring diagrams, SOPs, Control Philosophy, and related documentation for project execution.
  • Design Documentation: Writing design documents such as FDS, DDS, test plans, and test cases.
  • Collaboration: Working with global software team members to ensure we craft and deliver quality software.
  • Testing: Writing internal test documents and executing structural testing.
  • Estimation: Providing accurate estimates for completing planned tasks and software development with the highest quality.
  • Documentation: Establishes and maintains detailed and accurate documentation of all work.
  • Implementation: Should be able to implement, document, and maintain the SCADA/MES application according to the design documents.
  • Information Acquisition: Assist in acquiring information for architecture specs, software compatibility, security, and other application requirements.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelors/ master's degree in electrical / electronic / instrumentation engineering with 5 to 8 years of DCS/PLC/SCADA Development experience.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Strong Process Automation project & commissioning experience with the Siemens/Rockwell PLC platform in a Pharma/Biotech environment.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of ISA 88, FDA regulations, particularly 21 CFR part 11, GMP and GAMP systems.
  • Experience: Strong experience in conducting FAT, SAT and UAT activities for software and equipment.
  • Software Proficiency: Rockwell-Studio5000 /Siemens PLC- Step7/ PCS7, Ignition SCADA
  • Languages: Experience with Python scripting is must.
  • Process Knowledge: Familiarity with upstream and downstream bioprocesses.
  • Communication Protocols: Communication / Network Protocols – OPC, Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP etc. Knowledge / working experience on MQTT, Traceability etc. will be added advantage.
  • Development Environment: Exposure to development environments like GitHub, Version Control. DevOps etc.
  • Learning Attitude: Willing to learn and improve technical capabilities.
