The Cloud Support Engineer role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the seamless operation of cloud deployments, systems, and services. Key objectives include implementing and managing cloud infrastructure to guarantee high levels of availability, redundancy, and business continuity.

This individual will work closely with automation tools and processes such as Azure Dev/Ops, continuous integration, and infrastructure component automation. Collaborative efforts with cross-functional development/analytics teams are necessary for deploying and operating systems, automating IT operations processes, and streamlining workflows.

  • Act as a trusted security advisor, participating in high-value customer engagements
  • Build, deploy, and manage Virtual Machines, PaaS services like Analytics, and automation within the Azure Cloud environment
  • Lead and serve as an SME for Azure platforms (IaaS, Intune/Autopilot, etc.) within the IT operations team
Key Responsibilities:
  • Create deployment guides, Standard Operating Procedures, and perform Knowledge transfers to other members in the team
  • Perform backups, upgrades, performance tuning, monitoring, alerting, deployments, and disaster recovery within the Azure cloud environment
  • Implement and conduct Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly health checks for the Cloud environment and all integration platforms
  • Audit systems to ensure performance benchmarks are met and provide recommendations and a roadmap for future enhancements considering growth and optimization
Requirements:
  • Computer Science/Information Technology degree or diploma, or equivalent industry experience
  • Post-secondary education obtained by a community college or one or more professional designations
  • Up to 7 years of experience in Server and Cloud Administration
  • Mandatory Microsoft Azure Certification (AZ100 or AZ300 preferred)
  • VMWare Virtualization Certification is beneficial
