Accounting Position Overview

This role involves working directly with foreign clients and gaining extensive experience in Canadian accounting practices.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate financial records using Excel and QuickBooks Online. Ensure timely and efficient processing of financial data.
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile bank and credit card accounts on a monthly basis. Identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure tax compliance (GST/ HST / PST, corporate tax, payroll taxes) in collaboration with senior advisors. Stay up-to-date with changing tax regulations.
  • Financial Reporting: Assemble working paper packages for financial statements. Provide clear and concise analysis of financial results.
  • Client Onboarding: Proven experience in onboarding Canadian clients, ensuring a smooth transition and integration into our accounting systems and processes. Develop strong relationships with clients.
  • Data Management: Conduct data entry tasks as needed. Ensure accuracy and attention to detail when entering data.
  • Tax Preparation: Prepare corporate tax returns and related documentation. Strong grasp of accounting standards (IFRS/ASPE/GAAP), taxation, and compliance.
  • Payroll Management: Oversee payroll tasks, including client onboarding, payroll processing, etc. Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Client Communication: Communicate with clients via email and phone to gather necessary information and clarify details. Communicate with clients professionally and clearly in English.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field (e.g., B. Com, M. Com, CAs).
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to handle multiple clients and work pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Good understanding of the Canadian and American accent is essential for this position.
Benefits:

Reliable internet connection, laptop, and a suitable home office environment are required. The ability to work a complete night shift from 9:30 pm to 6 am (IST) & 10:30 pm to 7 am (IST) during winters is also required.
