We are seeking a seasoned Machine Learning Engineer to join our advanced AI team at Sigmaways Inc. This role involves developing, refining, and optimizing detection models for various applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine detection models for different camera angles and customer-specific requirements.
  • Utilize data augmentation techniques to enhance model robustness, including adding noise, blur, and image rotation.
  • Implement pre-trained models, update weights, and retrain, or develop models from scratch using YOLO versions.
  • Fix issues related to randomization in RF validation datasets.
  • Develop scripts to filter small annotations as part of detection testing.
  • Train and evaluate models of varying sizes (nano, small, and large) for performance and accuracy.
  • Automate the training pipeline to streamline model development and deployment processes.
  • Develop evaluation pipelines for accuracy, speed benchmarking, and VRAM optimization.
  • Consolidate and transition code from collaborative tools to SageMaker or our automated training systems.
  • Provide weekly reports on model performance metrics, including accuracy and benchmarking results.
  • Assist with maintaining data hygiene in Roboflow and collaborate on additional model development.
  • Work on multi-camera calibration for optimized detection across various camera setups.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science preferred.
  • Proven experience with YOLO and other detection models.
  • Hands-on experience with YOLO (v8, v10, and others), data augmentation techniques, and model benchmarking.
  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with SageMaker, Colab, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of data augmentation, model optimization, and automated pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver accurate, timely reports.
  • Experience with multicam calibration is a plus.
