Slurry Handling Expert

Hiring Alert for a Maintenance Engineer position in the steel industry.

The ideal candidate will ensure smooth functioning of slurry handling operations, including receiving, storage, and onward slurry pumping to receiving terminal stations.

They will be responsible for monitoring and controlling slurry pipeline operation and maintenance, operating and maintaining slurry pumps (Pressure: 80 - 100 Bar), and having depth knowledge in slurry pipeline and in-plant pipeline as an advantage.

Additional responsibilities include spares planning for all equipment's, ordering and tracking of spares for 100% availability of equipment's at Slurry pump house, documentation for all Production and maintenance jobs relating to SPH, and coordinating with the procurement team to ensure materials are ordered and delivered on time as per the production schedule.

Furthermore, they will maintain accurate records of material movement and stock levels, ensuring data accuracy in the inventory management system (SAP, ERP, etc.), ensure proper utilization of equipment and manpower, implement and monitor safety standards for slurry handling in compliance with company policies, and encourage interested candidates to share their CVs for further consideration.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, Mineral or Metallurgy, with at least 7 years of experience in the field.

Apart from technical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment will be essential for success in this role.
