The role of a Financial Controller involves overseeing the financial reporting and analysis of offshore investments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards. Key responsibilities include preparing and analyzing quarterly and annual financial statements, partnering with fund administrators to conduct periodic accounting reviews, supporting valuation processes, and providing transaction support for capital deployment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and analyze quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards (GAAP).
  • Partnering with Stakeholders: Collaborate with fund administrators and internal stakeholders to conduct periodic accounting reviews.
  • Valuation Support: Assist in valuation processes, including portfolio company valuations in line with internal policies and auditor requirements.
  • Treasury Functions: Oversee treasury functions, including capital call monitoring, reconciliations, and liquidity planning.
  • Transaction Support: Provide transaction support for capital deployment, including deal documentation review and payment processing.
  • Investor Communication: Manage investor communication for capital calls and distributions, maintain logs and receipt tracking. Respond to investor queries and information requests with high professionalism.
  • Audit Preparations: Assist in audit preparations and financial disclosures, including coordinating third-party valuation inputs.
  • Ad-hoc Financial Models: Develop and review ad-hoc financial models and dashboards for internal decision-making.
  • Regulatory Filings: Review tax and regulatory filings/submissions and compliances.

Financial Controlling - Manager and Advisor Entities

  • Collaboration with Accounts Team: Work closely with the Accounts team to review monthly financial statements across all Manager and Advisor entities, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to internal financial controls.
  • Tax Filing Compliance: Supervise the preparation and submission of all Direct and Indirect Tax filings, ensuring full regulatory compliance and timely execution of statutory obligations.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, ensuring optimized turnaround times for disbursements and collections while maintaining robust internal controls.
  • Budget Preparation: Lead the preparation of annual budgets, and drive the delivery of high-quality MIS reports for Partners. Execute consolidated accounts and cash flow forecasts across relevant entities.
  • Payroll Processing: Conduct comprehensive reviews of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance with statutory requirements, and alignment with internal policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Chartered Accountant: CA with min 4-5 years of experience.
  • Excel Skills: Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with financial reporting tools.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Multitasking abilities, navigating complex workflows and juggling multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills managing multiple stakeholders.
