JD Edwards Functional Consultant Job Description

This is a challenging role for a skilled JD Edwards Functional Consultant to lead and execute ERP activities during organizational transitions. The consultant will be responsible for designing and implementing JDE processes, collaborating with stakeholders to define the scope of divestiture, and ensuring alignment with business and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transition Planning & Execution:
    • Develop and implement JDE processes for company separation, including inactivation of accounts, closure of company codes, and data extraction strategies.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
    • Work closely with stakeholders to define the scope of divestiture and ensure alignment with business and compliance requirements.
  • Finance Module Expertise:
    • Configure and support modules such as GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, and multi-currency setups.
  • Data Migration & Integration:
    • Lead historical data extraction and handover to acquiring entities.
  • Security & Compliance:
    • Implement SOX-compliant security using tools like All Out.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Experience: 12–15 years of experience in JD Edwards ERP with a focus on Finance and cross-functional modules.
  • Project Experience: Proven experience in at least one company separation, merger, or acquisition project.
  • JDE Configuration & Integration: Strong understanding of JDE configuration, data structures, and integration points.
  • Compliance Frameworks: Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOX, audit readiness).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
