Coinbase is building an emerging on-chain platform and future global financial system. To achieve this, we're seeking skilled software engineers who are passionate about crypto and blockchain technology, eager to leave their mark, and run towards solving our hardest problems.

We want someone with experience in architecting big data systems around technologies like Apache Spark and Hive, as well as up-leveling junior engineers via processes and setting high standards for them to follow.

The FinHub team creates a platform for financial data. This includes providing accurate and timely financial information, improving accounting and finance activities, and acting as the golden source of truth for related data.

Job Description
  • Architect a platform for financial data
  • Provide technical structure and work closely with management and stakeholders to define strategic roadmaps
  • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Mentor and train team members on design techniques and coding standards
  • Write high-quality, well-tested code to meet customer needs
  • Plan and implement a multi-year strategy for Finhub engineering
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to turn vision into tangible roadmaps
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in architecting big data systems
  • Experience in mentoring junior engineers
  • Possess knowledge of high-quality code and software engineering processes
  • A passion for building an open financial system
  • Experience integrating with NetSuite APIs, developing financial tools, or transforming business/product data
