Our organization seeks an experienced professional to lead the review process of a globally recognized journal.

The Role

We are looking for someone with expertise in peer review and editorial workflows to oversee the manuscript review workflow from submission to publication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage Review and Peer Review Teams to foster a high-performance culture
  • Oversight of manuscript review workflow to optimize throughput and reduce timelines
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to enhance productivity and author experience
  • Maintain rigorous scientific standards, editorial excellence, and ethical publishing practices
  • Collaborate with the Editorial Department to provide authors with a streamlined experience
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders to ensure a seamless peer and editorial review process
  • Track key performance metrics to align with departmental goals

To be successful, you will require:

  • A Ph.D. in life sciences or related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in academic or scientific publishing
  • Demonstrated success in leading and managing editorial or review teams
  • Strong knowledge of peer review models, open access publishing, and scholarly communication trends
  • Experience with digital publishing platforms and workflow automation tools is desirable
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, ability to design and implement process improvements
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
