Cybersecurity Expert Job Description

This is a key role in ensuring the security, efficiency and compliance of Client IT systems with relevant regulations and industry standards.

The main responsibilities of this position include:

  • Understanding project requirements, technical specifications and scope of work.
  • Designing and maintaining security-compliant IT infrastructure architecture and systems.

Audits are conducted to identify weaknesses, vulnerabilities and areas for improvement in design. Risk assessments are performed to evaluate the risk associated with IT systems and identify potential threats to data integrity, confidentiality and availability.

Compliance management involves ensuring that IT systems and processes comply with relevant laws, regulations and industry standards. The cybersecurity expert also supports the preparation of ATP documents, SoP documents and other related materials.

Security management includes implementing and maintaining effective security measures to protect DC-DR and Remote Site's IT assets from cyber threats, including malware, phishing and unauthorized access. Controls evaluation involves evaluating the effectiveness of existing IT controls and recommending enhancements or new controls to mitigate risks and improve security posture.

Reporting is an essential part of this role, as detailed audit reports documenting findings, recommendations and remediation plans are prepared for management and stakeholders. Training and awareness programs are provided to educate employees about IT security best practices and compliance requirements.

Continuous monitoring of IT systems and processes is necessary to detect and respond to security incidents and compliance breaches in a timely manner. Collaboration with other departments is crucial to address IT-related risks and compliance issues effectively.

This position will play a critical role in helping the Client maintain the integrity, confidentiality and availability of their information systems while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
