AWS Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

This is a pivotal role within our Professional Services Innovation Team, requiring strategic leadership and expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining highly scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant infrastructure using AWS services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Infrastructure Architecture: Design highly available, resilient, and scalable AWS infrastructure solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices in performance, reliability, and security.
  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee the maintenance of applications and infrastructure, employing advanced techniques to optimize configurations and resource utilization. This includes monitoring, logging, and performance tuning to ensure optimal system performance and efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with development and operations teams to define infrastructure requirements, provide expert guidance on best practices, and drive organizational change and improvements.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously enhance the Change Management process to ensure controlled and efficient deployment of changes, leveraging automation and CI/CD pipelines to improve application deployment and release management processes.
  • Security Compliance: Conduct regular security audits and assessments of systems and the underlying infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities and enforce security best practices, including compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Deployment Management: Own the deployment process, creating detailed deployment artifacts, including Deployment/Installation plans, with the capability to plan for rollbacks and ensure seamless system transitions.
  • Knowledge Management: Document and maintain up-to-date records of infrastructure configurations and changes, sharing processes, procedures, and best practices for knowledge sharing and collaboration across the team.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide comprehensive status updates and effectively communicate project progress and operational metrics to team members and stakeholders, fostering open communication and transparency.
  • Cross-Functional Troubleshooting: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance software development and deployment processes, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and providing technical support and troubleshooting for AWS-related issues.
  • Industry Trends: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DevOps, SRE, and cloud environments, applying this knowledge to enhance team capabilities and drive innovation.
