Job Summary:

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement electromagnetic compatibility and electromagnetic interference requirements for electronic devices and systems. This includes reviewing electronic component datasheets, analyzing schematics, and formulating system-level EMC protection schemes.

  • Conduct design reviews to ensure that electronic devices and systems are designed for EMI and EMC compliance
  • Interpret EMC standards and regulations to develop test plans and procedures for compliance testing
  • Conduct EMC testing and analysis on electronic products and systems to assess electromagnetic emissions and susceptibility

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review electronic component datasheets and application notes for the development of EMC protection schemes
  • Analyze schematics and circuit board layouts for adherence to EMC design practices and guidelines
  • Formulate system and circuit board level EMC protection (filtering, shielding, etc.)
Requirements:
  • 6-8 years of experience in software testing
  • Extensive experience in performance of EMI/EMC analyses and testing
  • Familiarity with Automotive EMC/EMI test standards, requirements, test methods, and setup/performance of testing
  • Experience in digital and analog circuit design and schematic capture
  • Understanding of PCB layout process and tools
  • Proficiency with simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscillators, signal generators, and EMC chambers)
  • Knowledge of RF and EMC standards (FCC, CISPR-25, ECE-R10, AIS-004, IEC, EN)
  • Ability to manage and ensure traceability between product SW requirements and SW validation tests and test scripts
  • Proficiency in EMC documentation (test plans, procedures, reports, and certificates)
Additional Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of ECUs driving brushed DC motors
  • Strong knowledge of passenger vehicle EE architecture
