Lead Data Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned data expert to join our team as a Lead Data Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of scalable data pipelines and ETL processes that integrate data from multiple sources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and optimize data pipelines for batch and real-time data processing.
  • Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from multiple sources.
  • Manage and optimize data storage solutions (data warehouses, data lakes, relational and NoSQL databases).
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, governance, and security across all systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data workflows and infrastructure performance.
  • Implement automation for data ingestion, transformation, and reporting.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a data engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.).
  • Experience with big data frameworks (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and related services (Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake, Dataflow, Databricks, etc.).
  • Knowledge of data modeling, ETL design, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Proficiency in Python/Java/Scala for data engineering tasks.
  • Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Luigi, Prefect, etc.).
  • Understanding of data security, governance, and compliance best practices.
