Job Title: Animal Emergency Crisis Manager

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a skilled professional responsible for coordinating and executing emergency response plans to protect animals from cruelty and harm. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to handle urgent animal emergencies, rescues, and cruelty cases across India.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent organisational skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for animal welfare.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Crisis Management: Respond promptly and effectively to emergency and general cruelty-case calls and emails in a manner that ensures the well-being of animals.
  • Co-ordination: Work closely with animal-protection organisations, volunteers, government bodies, and designated officials to facilitate effective emergency rescues in remote areas.
  • Logistics: Arrange timely assistance for animals in need in Mumbai and Delhi, adhering to our standard operating procedures and consulting relevant supervisors.
  • Communication: Inform the public about ways they can help animals through appropriate responses to cases.
  • Database Management: Maintain and update a database of contacts and services available to our emergency and cruelty-case response team, as requested by the supervisor.
  • Record Keeping: Ensure thorough records are maintained for calls and emails received about emergencies and cruelty cases, including how they were handled and concluded.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree**: Minimum requirement from a recognised institution.
  • Voluntary Experience**: Prior experience handling emergency and cruelty-case responses for animals is highly desirable.
  • Computer Proficiency**: Strong computer skills are essential for this role.
  • Languages**: Fluency in Hindi and English is mandatory; knowledge of other local Indian languages is an asset.
  • Organisational Skills**: Excellent time-management and multi-tasking abilities are crucial for success in this position.
  • Communication Skills**: Exceptional oral and written communication skills are required.
