Job Role: Dam Design Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our dam design and construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with expertise in reviewing and assessing technical bid documents and preliminary designs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Technical Review: Conduct thorough reviews of technical bid documents, bill of quantities, and technical specifications for rehabilitation activities.
  • Design Expertise: Provide expert input for physical modeling of significant structural interventions.
  • Dam Safety Inspection: Conduct regular dam safety inspections and manage transmittals.
  • Capacity Building: Facilitate capacity building of team members through customized training programs at various levels.
  • Training Calendar: Develop a comprehensive training calendar for design activities and customized training programs for the annual DRIP Calendar.
  • Inspection and Reporting: Conduct need-based inspections of DRIP dams and present findings in technical reports.

Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in dam design and construction.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Expertise in review and assessment of technical bid documents and preliminary designs; strong communication and project management skills.
