Job Summary

We are seeking professionals with relevant experience in designing high voltage electrical systems for power plant projects. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 15 years of experience working on HV substation design, above 100 kV.

Candidates should have good knowledge in FEED and Detail Engineering, experience in designing overhead transmission lines, and familiarity with grid code compliance, stability studies, and insulation coordination.

They will be responsible for reviewing and developing technical specifications, data sheets, RFQ/RFPs, and technical bid evaluation of electrical equipment and materials for HV systems in power plant projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design main electrical equipment and materials for high voltage systems
  • Prepare and review technical specifications and data sheets for electrical equipment
  • Prepare electrical equipment and material sizing calculations for HV applications
  • Design and review control and protection schematics and SLDs for high voltage systems
  • Requisition for Inquiry and Purchase of HV Electrical Equipment
  • Design and review of OHLs for power plant projects
  • Review generation/grid interconnections for HV systems
  • Power system studies for high voltage electrical systems
  • Technical Bid Evaluation of Offers for HV Electrical Equipment
  • Interact and collaborate with other technical disciplines involved in the project
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 15 years of experience working in the electrical discipline in an engineering company
  • Designing for HV electrical equipment and materials
  • Power system studies
  • Effective communication skills
  • Understanding of other disciplines
  • Able to complete tasks in accordance with project requirements
