**Risk Management Expert - Electronic Trading Leadership Role**

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our electronic trading risk management function. This is a prominent role that requires strong stakeholder relationships and risk mitigation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide subject matter expertise on electronic trading risks to enhance the global risk framework
- Review and assess adherence to relevant electronic trading policies and procedures
- Oversee three key electronic trading control lifecycles: algorithm lifecycle, automated control lifecycle, and e-platform lifecycle
- Ensure well-governed and controlled electronic and algorithmic trading operations, working closely with business heads to drive growth and innovation
- Investigate and respond to electronic trading risk issues, internal reviews, and regulatory inquiries
- Design and develop analytical tools to monitor and manage risks associated with electronic trading
- Conduct effectiveness testing of pre and post-trade controls, monitoring trigger alerts, and escalating alerts to traders as needed
- Deliver transformation deliverables, providing timely updates on progress and escalating significant risks and delivery barriers
- Identify, log, and mitigate non-market risks inherent in electronic trading businesses
- Collaborate with Business Risk Managers to deliver desired risk agenda for the business

Requirements:

- Operational experience within an electronic trading business or similar environment
- Strong knowledge of financial services risk management at different levels of the organisation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven expertise in risk management, project management, and electronic trading roles within an investment bank or top-tier consultancy
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with ability to interpret complex data
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python and SQL
- Understanding of electronic trading systems, including order management systems (OMS), execution management systems (EMS), and Dealer to Client (D2C) platforms
- Familiarity with risk management frameworks and automated and algorithmic trading
- Good knowledge of financial instruments, including fixed income and currencies
