We are seeking an expert in asynchronous communication patterns to design, implement and manage messaging solutions using Azure Service Bus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement and maintain enterprise-level messaging solutions using Azure Service Bus (Queues, Topics, and Subscriptions).
  • Provide architectural guidance and serve as the technical authority on all things related to Azure Service Bus.
  • Monitor and optimize Service Bus performance, throughput and costs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to message delivery, dead-lettering, and connectivity.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure proper implementation of messaging patterns (e.g., publish-subscribe, request-reply, competing consumers).
  • Establish and enforce best practices for Service Bus configuration, security and governance.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts for deployment, configuration and monitoring.
  • Lead the documentation of Service Bus architectures, message schemas and operational procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Overall 7-10 years of experience with 5+ years of strong, hands-on experience with Azure Service Bus.
  • Deep understanding of Azure messaging patterns, including topics, subscriptions, queues and message dead-lettering.
  • Proficiency in C# and the Azure SDK for .NET, with experience developing Service Bus producers and consumers.
  • Extensive experience with Azure Functions or other compute services for processing Service Bus messages.
  • Familiarity with other Azure integration services such as Event Grid and Event Hubs.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure CLI, PowerShell, or ARM/Bicep templates for infrastructure as code.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices for Azure Service Bus, including Shared Access Signatures (SAS) and role-based access control (RBAC).

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering and architecture, with experience working with cloud-based technologies. They will be able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and drive projects forward with minimal supervision.
