Oracle Technical Consultant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle EPM and PCM technical professional to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong Oracle EPM and PCM technical resource with expertise in Essbase, PCMCS/EPCM, and PBCS implementation.

About the Role

This is a hands-on position that requires a willingness to learn new technologies and work on stringent timelines. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of relevant experience and be able to troubleshoot and resolve issues prior to their occurrence.

  • Designing and Configuring Oracle EPCM Modules: In-depth knowledge of Oracle EPCM modules, including configuration, data management, and reporting.
  • Configuring and Customizing EPCM Modules: Defining cost drivers, allocation rules, and reporting structures.
  • Providing Technical Knowledge: Expertise in Oracle EPCM, its features, functionalities, and integration capabilities with other Oracle Cloud modules.
  • Data Management: Managing data mappings, validations, and transformations within EPCM and integrating it with other systems.
  • Alignment with Business Processes: Ensuring the EPCM solution aligns with the organization's business processes and objectives.
  • Implementation Experience: Implementing Oracle PCM/EPCM starting from designing allocation rules, building custom rules and allocation rules and rulesets, and fine-tuning for performance.
  • Integration and Reporting: Direct integration to ERP GL and other EPM applications using Data Management and generating audit trail and balancing reports for allocations.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: MBA Finance or Bachelor's Degree level qualification in a computer or IT related subject.
  • Experience: Overall 10+ years EPM/PCM experience in administration, design, analysis, development, and support of applications in various domains and products related to EPM and PCM.
  • Skills: Strong experience in PBCS Business rules - Design, Development and performance tuning, metadata integration with EDMCS and custom files for EPM modules, and designing and coding batch processes using epmautomate tool.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure, and flexibility to work for long hours overlapping with EST, CST, and PST working hours.

  • Familiarity with Oracle EPM Applications: Good understanding of financial statements, close cycle, and related best practices.
  • Technical Certifications: Familiarity with FCCS, EPRCS, ARCS, SQL, PL/SQL, Autosys Scheduling, Unix/Windows Shell Scripting.
