Primary Years Programme Leader

We are seeking a seasoned and experienced Primary Years Programme leader to spearhead the enhancement of our educational programme. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering an engaging, student-centered environment that promotes inquiry and reflection.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and review the curriculum in alignment with IB guidelines, ensuring a cohesive and effective delivery of the programme.
  • Collaborate with teachers to promote a culture of collaboration and support, enhancing the overall educational experience.
  • Provide guidance and support for teachers in the development of transdisciplinary units and inquiry-based learning experiences, driving innovation and creativity.
  • Organize and lead professional development workshops and training sessions for staff, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Engage with parents and the school community to promote understanding and foster a sense of belonging, ensuring seamless communication and cooperation.
  • Coordinate and support student assessments, maintaining accurate records as per IB requirements, and ensure adherence to all relevant regulations.
  • Stay updated with IB developments and changes, guaranteeing the school's continued compliance with IB standards and best practices.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders, including teachers, parents, and the IB organization, promoting transparency and openness.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree or Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • IB PYP Coordinator training or certification.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in teaching, with a proven track record of leadership and a deep understanding of the IB framework, particularly the PYP.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong leadership abilities and a commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
