
Inventory Control Specialist

This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a raw material store, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Manage day-to-day store activities including receipt, storage, issuance, and record maintenance.
- Ensure all materials are properly labeled, identified, and stored according to established procedures and regulations.
- Conduct regular stock verification, cycle counts, and reconciliation of physical versus system stock.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, and quality teams to guarantee timely availability of raw materials without disruption.
- Maintain a first-in, first-out (FIFO) or first-expired, first-out (FEFO) system for material issuance.
- Monitor storage conditions to maintain material quality.
- Ensure adherence to ISO, GMP, and other regulatory requirements for raw material handling.
- Manage documentation including goods receipts notes (GRNs), stock registers, bin cards, and ERP entries.
- Identify slow-moving, non-moving, or expired materials and coordinate for proper disposal according to guidelines.
- Support audits by ensuring documentation accuracy and store readiness.
- Train and supervise store assistants/handlers on material handling, safety, and procedure adherence.
This role requires a graduate or diploma holder in supply chain, logistics, science, commerce, or a related field. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in raw material store management, preferably in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or manufacturing industry, is necessary. Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is also required. Knowledge of inventory management techniques like FIFO, FEFO, and JIT is essential.
