Purchasing Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and strategic procurement expert to oversee our purchasing operations. This role involves developing effective procurement strategies, managing vendor partnerships, and ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.

The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, market insight, and the ability to lead a team toward achieving organizational procurement objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to ensure optimal cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Lead and manage the procurement team to meet departmental and organizational goals.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring favorable pricing, terms, and service levels.
  • Analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to forecast procurement needs.
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities and develop long-term, strategic supplier partnerships.
  • Prepare and present reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and vendor efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, with at least 3 years in a leadership/managerial role.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic negotiations, vendor development, and cost optimization.
  • Proficient in procurement software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles, contract law, and market dynamics.
