Job Title: Business Process Specialist

As a business process specialist, you will play a key role in driving projects forward by analyzing and optimizing core business processes. Your expertise in the Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance industry will be invaluable in understanding business operations and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle, including requirements definition, application mapping, technical design, application development, and testing.
  • Lead requirements elicitation sessions and product demos to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Document detailed business requirements and translate them into test conditions to meet project goals.

Business Analysis & Research:

  • Conduct research on business inquiries, emerging issues, P&C industry practices, and new application technologies to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Perform quality management reviews of designs, prototypes, and other requirements work products to ensure excellence.
  • Apply knowledge of Policy administration, Claims management, Customer billing, and Agency/Customer Portals to drive business growth.

Domain Knowledge:

  • Utilize knowledge of insurance packaged software like Origami, Guidewire, Duck Creek, or Majesco to inform business decisions.
  • Understand data and reporting as well as analytical skills to drive business insights.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to manage and supervise teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the P&C insurance industry, with a focus on Property and Casualty personal lines, commercial lines, or specialty lines.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise teams through all project lifecycle phases.
  • Experience with requirements documentation, quality reviews, and translating requirements into test conditions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Jira and SAFe Agile methodologies is a plus.
  • Experience with User Interface tools like AEM is preferred.
  • Understanding of GCP services, API interfaces, and CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
  • Certifications such as Associate in Insurance (AINS), Certified Business Analyst (CBAP), Charted Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), and Associate in Claims (AIC) are highly valued.
  • Education and experience: a bachelor's and master's degree in a relevant field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the P&C insurance industry.
