About the Role

Wipro is seeking a highly skilled Senior Performance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-performance solutions that meet our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement performance engineering strategies.
  • Design and implement availability, scalability, and performance plans for various platforms.
  • Identify and document inefficient workflows, processes, and functions that fail to meet existing business requirements and suggest improvements.
  • Review and execution of tests and workload designs, scripts, configurations, and runs of performance tests to validate production readiness of software applications and infrastructure for stability and performance against non-functional requirements.
  • Procure, compile, and condition test data as needed to properly simulate test scenarios like production.
  • Examine the test environment and the scaling to production and create test strategy – approach to provide sign off for production.
  • Collaborate with various teams to mitigate performance bottlenecks throughout the entire application stack.
  • Recommend improvements to the architecture and deployment of applications.
  • Experience with performance analysis and testing processes, application architecture, design, capacity planning, and application performance best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with load testing tools like HP LoadRunner, jMeter, Neoload, Blazemeter, Performance Center, Gatling, monitoring, APM tools like Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, CA APM, and visualization – analytics tools such as ELK, Splunk, Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus, Tableau.
  • Ability to dissect multi-tiered systems and track data flow throughout an entire application stack.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication and leadership skills, and experience in Agile, DevOps ways of working, and CICD tools – pipelines, Jenkins, git.
