Job Opportunity for Senior Software Engineer

As a key member of our Edge Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the health, performance, and capacity of our Internet-facing services.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop, operate, and scale edge technologies that deliver exceptional user experiences for millions of users worldwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Be primarily responsible for the overall health, performance, and capacity of one or more of our Internet-facing services.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of our complex applications and systems.
  • Support the rollout and ramp-up of new product features and technologies to facilitate rapid iteration and continuous growth.
  • Develop tools to improve our ability to rapidly deploy and effectively monitor custom applications in large-scale Linux environments.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience with administration and troubleshooting of Unix/Linux systems.
  • At least 5 years of coding experience in programming languages like Rust, Go, Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in UNIX-based large-scale web operations roles.
  • Experience with .NET, C#, Android, or iOS development.
  • Experience in building systems automation and server backends with Python.
  • Experience with writing scalable programs in Rust/Golang/Python.
  • Previous experience working with geographically-distributed coworkers.
