Job Description

The ideal candidate will serve as a pivotal member of our database operations team, tasked with the management and optimization of Oracle databases. Their expertise in performance tuning, indexing, and partitioning will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless interaction between our web applications and database systems.

Key responsibilities will include analyzing and resolving database bottlenecks affecting application/api performance, implementing best practices for connection pooling, partitioning, and caching strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize database design for high concurrency and sla targets.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess:

  • 6-8 years of hands-on experience as an oracle dba, with emphasis on application dba responsibilities.
  • Strong expertise in oracle 12c/19c performance tuning, indexing, partitioning, optimizer hints.
  • sql and pl/sql development and debugging skills.
  • experience supporting web applications, api-driven architectures, or middleware platforms.
  • familiarity with oracle integration cloud (oic) and fusion cloud database integration (pub/sub methodology preferred).
