Job Description

As a backend software engineer, you will play a key role in the development of high-performance, scalable backend systems. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, and deploying robust and scalable backend services using Ruby on Rails, NodeJS, and Java.

You will also contribute to the evolution of our microservices architecture, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and performance. Additionally, you will write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop robust and scalable backend services.

  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience in backend software engineering, building and scaling distributed systems.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Node.js, Ruby on Rails, Java.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing microservices at scale.
  • Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud services is a plus.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (i.e., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
  • A strong understanding of computer science fundamentals with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to work.
  • A passion for building high-quality software and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
