Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Platform Specialist to design, deploy and manage cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will bring expertise in designing and managing GCP-based infrastructure for enterprise-scale applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build scalable and secure GCP-based infrastructure.
  • Deploy and maintain Kubernetes clusters and workloads on GCP.
  • Implement automation using Terraform, Deployment Manager or Ansible.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins.
  • Maintain high availability, scalability and reliability of cloud-native applications.
  • Configure and manage Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), subnets, firewall rules, NAT, load balancers and Cloud DNS.
  • Implement IAM roles, workload identity and secrets management for security compliance.
  • Monitor system health, performance and availability using Prometheus, Grafana and GCP Cloud Monitoring.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
  • Strong expertise in Kubernetes cluster creation, scaling and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in Docker and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools - Terraform, Deployment Manager or Ansible.
  • Hands-on experience in CI/CD pipelines - GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts VPC, subnets, firewall rules, NAT, routing and load balancing.
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices IAM roles, workload identity and secrets management.
  • Experience with observability/monitoring tools - Prometheus, Grafana and Cloud Monitoring.

Good to Have (Preferred):

  • Knowledge of hybrid/multi-cloud deployments.
  • Experience with service mesh technologies - Istio or Linkerd.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • GCP Certifications highly desirable.
