Job Description

The primary goal of this position is to oversee the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance backend solutions utilizing Java technologies.

We are seeking a highly skilled individual with extensive experience in leading cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver innovative features.

This role will involve mentoring team members, ensuring adherence to best coding and design practices, driving development efforts focusing on performance, security, and maintainability, as well as participating in architectural discussions and contributing to system design.

Additionally, this individual will support deployment processes and manage CI/CD pipelines, guaranteeing code quality through test automation practices (TDD/BDD).

Required Skills & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • At least 8 years of hands-on experience in Java backend development.
  • Strong proficiency in Core Java, J2EE, and microservices architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with Spring, Spring Boot, and RESTful web services.
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Design Patterns and software engineering best practices.
  • Experience working with RDBMS (e.g., Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra).
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Proficiency in modern SCM, CI/CD, build, and deployment tools.
  • Knowledge of code scanning, static analysis, and automated testing tools.
  • Experience with development methodologies such as TDD and BDD.
Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following preferred qualifications will have an added advantage:

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Exposure to containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with modern frontend integration or full-stack development.
