Job Title: Senior Infrastructure Specialist and Infrastructure Specialist

About the Role:

This is a challenging role for a highly skilled professional to design, implement, and maintain enterprise firewalls and network security solutions. The successful candidate will have expertise in multiple firewall platforms, VPN technologies, and proxy servers, as well as strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, manage, and maintain enterprise firewalls including Palo Alto, Fortinet/FortiGate, and Checkpoint.
  • Implement and support secure VPN tunneling solutions (IPSec, SSL VPN) across multiple sites and remote users.
  • Manage proxy server infrastructures and web filtering technologies to enforce network access policies.
  • Monitor, analyze, and optimize firewall and VPN performance to ensure robust network security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network security issues, ensuring minimal downtime and operational impact.
  • Perform periodic firewall audits, security assessments, and rule base reviews.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members in firewall and network security practices.
  • Document network infrastructure, configuration changes, and procedures.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and support critical incident response.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5-13 years of hands-on experience managing enterprise-grade firewalls and network security solutions.
  • Expertise in at least two or more firewall platforms: Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet/FortiGate, Checkpoint.
  • A strong understanding of VPN technologies: IPSec, SSL VPNs, and remote access solutions.
  • Experience working with proxy servers and web filtering platforms (e.g., Blue Coat, Squid, Zscaler).
  • Proficiency in network routing, switching, NAT, and access control concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump).
  • A CCNP certification is mandatory (Security or Routing & Switching preferred).
  • Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
