Job Summary:

As a Strategic Equipment Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and managing procurement needs and opportunities for laboratory instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and prioritize procurement requirements and opportunities for laboratory equipment and instruments to drive strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Purchase order creation, dispatch monitoring, and management through electronic purchasing systems to ensure seamless procurement experiences.
  • Perform contract validations to ensure compliance with purchase requests and organizational processes and policies to mitigate risk and improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, internal teams, and cross-functional teams to resolve issues in a timely manner and maintain documentation as per audit requirements to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Create value-added procurement experiences for customers by maintaining accurate job aids, identifying improvement/automation opportunities, and contributing to special projects to drive business growth.
  • Manage supplier setup processes by validating and approving profile changes in the system to ensure accurate supplier information and efficient procurement processes.
  • Perform procurement functions according to production planning requirements to support key business objectives and drive strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Ensure procurement compliances and follow global procurement policy guidelines to maintain regulatory compliance and minimize risk.
  • Manage tasks required as a category manager to drive strategic sourcing initiatives and improve procurement processes.
  • Develop sourcing and procurement activities that support key business objectives and drive business growth by establishing and enhancing supplier relationships.
  • Oversee purchasing systems, Cost point on procurement actions, approval workflows, and thresholds related to Purchase Orders to ensure efficient and effective procurement processes.
  • Collaborate with plant, SCM, and other teams to deliver best value to the organization and drive business growth.

Requirements:

  • Procurement experience in indirect spend – lab instruments/equipment.
  • Bachelor's degree + MBA.
