Our organization seeks a skilled Mechanical Designer to contribute to the development of mechanical designs on various projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication abilities.Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce 3D models for HVAC and plumbing services using REVIT MEP BIM by collaborating with project engineers/consultants/clerks on drawing strategies, types, sizes, and numbering, and proposing methods for efficient drawing production.
  • Utilize templates for CAD/BIM work and CAD/BIM library items to facilitate design tasks.
  • Generate construction deliverables in 2D format, including:
  • HVAC ducting layout
  • Piping layout, piping general arrangements, pipe routing studies, P&IDs
  • General arrangement drawings of equipment rooms
  • Plumbing drawings & riser diagrams
  • Plans and section drawings
  • Equipment schedules and installation detail drawings
  • Coordinate assigned scope of work with other disciplines to produce clash-free designs.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of LOD 100 to 450 and knowledge of as-built work.
  • Size ducts, accessories, and hydraulic piping according to codes and industry best practices.
  • Take on increased engineering design responsibilities by closely collaborating with discipline lead engineers.
  • Be a dedicated team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, good communication skills (verbal & written), and the ability to self-check and produce accurate work.

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or ITI/NCTVT Mechanical Draftsman
  • Minimum 7-10 years experience in Data Center/Commercial MEP design
  • Experience in developing general arrangement drawings, ducting layouts, piping layouts, plumbing drawings, riser drawings, etc., using 3D or 2D design tools
  • Working knowledge of international codes and standards (ASHRAE, ASME, International Plumbing Code, International Building Code, etc.) used in Commercial, Warehouse, Aviation, and Residential projects
