Job Overview

This role is focused on designing mechanical systems, including piping and utility systems. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and codes.

  • Design and develop mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the mechanical team to ensure effective coordination and communication.
  • Support piping design activities, including layout, supporting, pipe rack design, and equipment modeling.
  • Prepare deliverables, such as general arrangement drawings, piping layouts, and spool drawings.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or ITI/NCTVT - Mechanical Draftsman from a reputed institute.
  • Minimum 3 to 8 years of working experience using 3D design tools, preferably Plant 3D.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a good understanding of piping codes and standards.
  • Competent in the use of 2D and 3D CAD tools, including AutoCAD, Navisworks, and BIM.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain accurate designs, adhering to company QA/QC procedures and CAD standards.
  • Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.
  • Collaborate with clients and external personnel to meet project requirements.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of standard piping engineering techniques, principles, and procedures.
  • Good understanding of ASME Bioprocessing Equipment Standard, ASME B16.1, and ASME B31.3.
  • Proficiency in 3D design tools, including Plant 3D.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
