The Role of a Financial Manager:

Job Summary

This position is responsible for leading all financial operations, ensuring fiscal discipline, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning & Strategy:
    • Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
    • Provide expert advice on cost optimization, capital allocation, and ROI analysis to leadership.
    • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to identify areas for improvement.
  • Accounting & Compliance:
    • Oversee day-to-day accounting, invoicing, and payroll processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
    • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, including GST, TDS, PT, and Income Tax.
    • Coordinate internal and external audits to maintain financial integrity.
  • Procurement & Cost Control:
    • Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to track material costs and vendor payments.
    • Implement cost control measures across the supply chain and manufacturing units to optimize expenses.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
    • Prepare monthly MIS reports, variance analysis, and board-level dashboards to provide insights into financial performance.
    • Analyze financial data to support strategic decisions and performance reviews.
  • Systems & Process Improvement:
    • Recommend and implement financial systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
    • Streamline documentation and approval workflows for finance-related processes to reduce administrative burdens.
    Qualifications & Skills

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A degree in CA / MBA (Finance) or CMA.
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in financial management, preferably in manufacturing or construction.
  • Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, compliance, Excel, and Tally/SAP.
  • A detail-oriented and analytical approach with excellent communication and presentation skills.
