Financial Services Technical Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to contribute to our technology team.
The role involves designing and implementing scalable backend services using TypeScript/Node.js, managing financial workflows like KYC, servicing, and withdrawals, and integrating with third-party APIs securely. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in financial services, excellent knowledge of TypeScript/Node.js, AWS Lambda, and PostgreSQL, as well as solid understanding of building secure, documented REST APIs.
Key Responsibilities:- Developing and maintaining high-quality backend services using TypeScript/Node.js.
- Writing transactional business logic for financial flows (e.g. onboarding, withdrawals).
- Designing and maintaining efficient PostgreSQL schemas, migrations, and queries.
- Integrating with third-party APIs securely (OAuth2, JWT).
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience, preferably in the financial sector.
- Strong skills in TypeScript/Node.js, productive from day one.
- Familiarity with AWS Lambda and serverless patterns.
- PostgreSQL expertise, including schema design, performance tuning, and real-world queries.
- Proven ability to build secure, well-documented REST APIs.
- Experience working with regulated systems (KYC, audit logs, compliance).
- AWS Cognito and broader infrastructure familiarity.
- Terraform/IaC knowledge.
