As a senior hardware design expert, you will be responsible for spearheading the overall hardware design function. This role demands strong leadership and technical expertise in electronic hardware design to ensure the successful development of high-quality, reliable, and cost-effective hardware solutions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • You will define the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for hardware design, aligning with business objectives and market requirements.
  • Design and review printed circuit boards (PCBs) and bill of materials (BOMs) for air conditioning control systems, ensuring electromagnetic interference (EMI)/electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) compliance, protection circuitry, and thermal management.
  • Lead design optimization for cost, manufacturability, and performance, working closely with firmware teams to define hardware-software interfaces.
  • You will ensure robust design verification and validation processes are followed, mitigating design risks through failure mode effects analysis (FMEA), simulations, and rigorous testing.
  • Oversee resolution of field failures and continuous product improvement, incorporating design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) guidelines into all hardware.
Technical Expertise:
  • Strong knowledge of power electronics, schematic capture, PCB design tools, and hardware simulation, with understanding of manufacturing processes and DFM/DFT principles.
  • Familiarity with EMI/EMC compliance, thermal management, and reliability testing, as well as design calculation sheets for power electronics, control circuits, and protection systems.
Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in hardware design, with proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
