Job Summary:

The Production Merchandising Lead is responsible for ensuring seamless coordination of garment production, quality control, and delivery.

This role involves overseeing process enhancements, performance monitoring, and coordinating with teams to ensure operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and select appropriate fabrics, trims, and accessories.
  • Develop yearly and monthly production plans with timelines based on order requirements, capacity, and lead times.
  • Plan and allocate resources, including materials and labor.
  • Ensure materials and resources are available for production, monitor production progress, and proactively address any issues or delays to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Identify and select suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors.
  • Prepare cost estimates for products, including materials, labor, and overhead.
  • Manage budgets and track expenses to ensure production costs stay within budget constraints.
  • Establish quality standards and guidelines for production.
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks at various stages of production.
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Coordinate with various production departments, including production and logistics.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in textile engineering, fashion merchandising, or a related field.
  • More than 5 years of experience in merchandising or a related field.
  • Knowledge of textile and garment manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge in using production management software and tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
