Job Title: IT Asset Management Specialist

Location: Tiruchirappalli, India

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Asset Manager to lead the design, implementation, and management of end-to-end IT asset management processes. The successful candidate will oversee software asset lifecycle management, collaborate with teams to ensure cost optimization and compliance, and drive process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement ITAM Processes: Design and implement comprehensive IT asset management processes for hardware and software assets.
  • Manage Software Asset Lifecycle: Oversee software license management, compliance audits, procurement, renewals, and optimization.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with procurement, finance, security, and IT operations teams to ensure seamless integration and effective cost optimization.
  • Software Discovery and Reconciliation: Conduct thorough software discovery, reconciliation, and compliance checks across multiple publishers.
  • Negotiate with Vendors: Provide strategic inputs for vendor negotiations, true-up, and contract renewals.
  • Process Improvements and Automation: Drive continuous process improvements and automation within ITAM/SAM practice.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to internal policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • ITAM and SAM Tools Expertise: Proven experience in IT asset management and software asset management tools.
  • License Models Understanding: In-depth understanding of license models, including perpetual, subscription, cloud/SaaS, BYOL, and enterprise agreements.
  • Software License Optimization: Hands-on experience in software license optimization, audits, and compliance management.
  • Hardware Asset Lifecycle Management: Ability to manage hardware asset lifecycle, including procurement, inventory, disposal, and refresh.
  • ITIL Processes Knowledge: Familiarity with ITIL processes, especially ITAM/SAM, CMDB, Incident, Change, and Procurement.
  • Analytical and Reporting Skills: Strong analytical and reporting skills, with experience in Excel, Power BI, or ServiceNow reports.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
