Job Title: Lead Big Data Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned expert to spearhead our big data initiatives, driving innovation and excellence in the field of data engineering.

This role requires a strategic thinker who can lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-impact projects. The successful candidate will have expertise in big data solution design, architecture, and development using Spark, as well as experience working with cloud technology, microservices, and distributed systems.

About the Role:
  • Lead the development of big data platforms and solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design, implement, and deploy data pipelines, architectures, and systems.
  • Work closely with product teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in big data, recommending innovative solutions to drive business growth.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of total experience in software development, with 4+ years of relevant experience in big data solution design and architecture.
  • Strong expertise in Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, and other big data technologies.
  • Experience working with cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
